Tradeshow Debrief: Our Experience at DesignCon 2024

DesignCon, the leading conference and exposition dedicated to high-speed communications and system design, occurred just a few weeks ago in the heart of Silicon Valley. We at Total Phase had a rewarding time at this event showcasing the value we bring to the embedded engineering space.

We were not only able to speak with loyal customers who have devotedly used our tools for years, but also had the opportunity to meet with other event-goers who were interested in learning more about our embedded tools for their design requirements.

At our booth, we offered demos featuring our line of debugging and development tools for I2C, SPI, CAN, and USB systems, which included our host adapters such as our Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter and Promira Serial Platform, and our line of Beagle protocol analyzers.

We also had our Advanced Cable Tester v2 on display, a device that quickly and comprehensively tests USB, HDMI, and DisplayPort cables across multiple aspects including pin continuity, DC resistance and signal integrity.

For those who couldn't attend the event, below are some of the demos we performed this year:

New Blog: Can Two Host Adapters Simultaneously Trigger Data Acquisition for Separate I2C Devices?

Many of our blogs feature answers to real-life customer questions. In our latest blog in this category, a customer faces a challenge of synchronizing data the acquisition from multiple ADC devices using two Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapters with Python scripts.

Our technical support team provides insight into overcoming timing hurdles posed by the Windows operating system by leveraging GPIO pins to send a trigger to the devices via the Aardvark Software API.

Product Spotlight: Promira Serial Platform

quotation

I've worked with the Aardvark for years and recently purchased the Promira Serial Platform to work at faster speeds. Works great for SPI!
