Embedded World 2017

Members of our Total Phase team recently returned from a three-week trip to Europe centered around the Embedded World exhibition. As one of largest shows in the industry, they had the opportunity to meet many existing and new customers. The highlighted product of this trip was the Advanced Cable Tester, addressing the need to test USB Type-C cables in the lab for the purpose of isolating factors in debugging, as well as the importance of testing “accessory” cables which are often bundled by vendors with their products. There was the usual buzz around I2C and SPI, and this time - a fair amount of interest in eSPI as well. Of course, CAN was popular as expected in Germany. This was also the first time Total Phase demonstrated a new bus monitoring application for A2B (Automotive Audio Bus), a new protocol for automotive applications. Stay tuned for more information on the new A2B product coming soon.

Spotlight: Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter

The Aardvark is a powerful, easy to use item. I'm currently using it for I2C. It has SPI capability as well. It delivers the data and allows you to transfer it easily to a spreadsheet.
