Total Phase has developed the first cable testing tool of its kind, allowing cable developers and manufacturers to perform in-depth assessments on multiple different components that can affect cable safety, quality, and performance, including: continuity/opens/shorts of pins, IR Drop/DC Resistance, E-Marker verification, signal integrity tests on High-Speed/SuperSpeed lines, and Lightning plug operation.
This tool offers a solution for complete quality control during development and manufacturing; it analyzes each cable thoroughly and compares the measurements to the relevant cable specification. Any errors are flagged within a detailed report, allowing testers to discover exactly where the error took place. With the Advanced Cable Tester, individual quality control is now feasible for cable manufacturers.
