This guide explains how to manually setup and verify the USB driver required for a number of Total Phase products:
Generally users should utilize the automatic USB driver installation package provided by Total Phase. However, on a small number of Windows 11 Enterprise systems, as well as all ARM64 systems, the automatic system has issues with policy requirements or driver signatures. In such cases, it's possible to manually install the built-in WinUSB driver present on every Windows 11 system.
Note: This does not apply to the Promira Serial Platform, as it does not require any manual driver installation steps.
These steps have been verified to successfully enable the supported products using the WinUSB driver on Windows 11:
1. Plug in your device to the host system.
2. Open Device Manager and locate the device.
3. Right-click on the Total Phase product (such as Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter) in the Device Manager's "Other devices" section, and choose "Update driver" from the context menu.

4. In the wizard, select "Browse my computer for drivers".

5. Select "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer".

6. From the list of device classes, select "Universal Serial Bus devices".

7. The wizard displays WinUSB Device. Select "WinUSB Device" under Manufacturer and "WinUSB Device "under Model. Click Next.

8. A warning may show up. You can click "Yes" to continue.

9. This completes the installation of the WinUSB driver.

10. Users are now able to use the Total Phase product.
