Last week, the Total Phase Sales and Marketing team exhibited at the Embedded World North America 2025 conference in Anaheim, California. It was an exciting week filled with great conversations and hands-on demos of our latest tools for embedded systems engineers!

Total Phase booth at Embedded World North America 2025

At our booth, attendees had the opportunity to explore the Advanced Cable Tester v2, which showcased a sample test report on a USB-C cable that included assessments on cable Pin Continuity, DC Resistance, and Signal Integrity, along with a live demonstration of the Promira Serial Platform and its newest ability to function as a high-speed I2C/SPI protocol analyzer.

In this demo, two Promira Serial Platform units were connected to our I2C/SPI Activity Board, with a Wii Nunchuck used as a controller. One Promira platform acted as the master device, sending I2C commands to the board, while the other ran the new I2C Analysis Application to monitor communication in real time. The Nunchuck's joystick moved LEDs up and down while its buttons triggered different lighting sequences, with all I2C commands captured and displayed live in the Data Center Software. Together, this setup demonstrated how the Promira platform enables new high-speed protocol analysis and real-time debugging for I2C/SPI.

We’re also thrilled to announce that Total Phase was awarded “Best in Show” in the Test & Measurement category by Embedded Computing Design! This award recognizes outstanding innovation and excellence in new product releases across embedded systems, IoT, and electronics engineering.

The award highlights the innovation behind our new high-speed Analysis Applications for the Promira Serial Platform, including:

With this latest release, the Promira Serial Platform becomes an all-in-one tool for developing and debugging I2C and SPI systems. Configurable through various Promira applications, this device can function as a high-speed I2C/SPI host adapter, emulating master or slave devices to test and debug systems, as well as a high-speed protocol analyzer, giving engineers real-time visibility into the communication of their I2C or SPI systems.
