We just got back from Renesas DevCon 2010 in Anaheim, California. It was a very exciting show with approximately 750 attendees and exhibitors. Our very own engineers taught a class on how to use debugging tools with Renesas microcontrollers (MCUs) and we were happy to see the class overflowing with attendees. Thank you to everyone who attended!

At DevCon, Renesas debuted the RX62N Renesas Demo Kit (RDK) and gave away hundreds of free kits. The conference closed with the kickoff of the Renesas RX Design Contest, which encourages embedded engineers to design applications using the new RX family of 32-bit MCUs. A header socket for our own Beagle I2C/SPI Protocol Analyzer and Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter has been specifically designed into the new RX62N RDK, allowing developers to easily connect and analyze their applications using Total Phase tools. As a Renesas Electronics Gold Alliance Partner, we are excited to be a part of the RX62N RDK and take part in the contest by sponsoring over $9,000 in prizes.

How to Win Total Phase Prizes

There are three ways in which contestants can win our tools. Make sure to visit the link at the bottom of the post to find out how you can participate in the following contests. First, all participants will have the opportunity to win Total Phase tools during the Weekly Challenge contest hosted by Renesas Electronics America. The Weekly Challenge questions are posted via Facebook and Twitter, and the first person to respond with correct answer wins that week's prize.

The second way to win is to take part in the Renesas RX Design Contest. Not only will the winners get cash prizes from Renesas, they will also receive a Total Phase tool!

Finally, we will host our own contest, judging the best use of USB, I2C, and SPI in applications featured in the RX Design Contest. We will be be awarding a variety of Total Phase tools such as the Beagle™ USB 480 Protocol Analyzer, Beagle USB™ 12 Protocol Analyzer, Beagle™ I2C/SPI Protocol Analyzer, I2C/SPI Development Kits, and Aardvark™ I2C/SPI Host Adapter.
