Introduction

This knowledge base article is intended to provide guidelines for updating the firmware for the Beagle USB 5000 v2 SuperSpeed Protocol Analyzer.

Updating Firmware Guidelines

1. Go to the Total Phase website and access the Beagle USB 5000 v2 SuperSpeed Ultimate Protocol Analyzer webpage or the Beagle USB 5000 v2 SuperSpeed Standard Protocol Analyzer webpage.
2. Select the Downloads tab.

1. Download the latest version of Beagle 5000 Firmware Update Utility for the appropriate operating system used (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X).

1. Unzip the downloaded file.

1. Make sure that your Beagle USB 5000 v2 analyzer is plugged in and powered on. Also, make sure the analyzer is not connected to the Data Center Software.
2. Locate and open the Beagle Update Utility file. This will run the Beagle Update Utility.

1. Click on Update Firmware.

1. A "Firmware update is a critical operation ..." warning notice will be opened. Click OK.

1. The firmware update progress can be viewed in the Output screen.

1. Once the firmware update is complete, turn the Beagle USB 5000 v2 analyzer off and on.
