The 10-Pin Split Cable is the ideal solution for you. This cable attaches to the ribbon cables on the Aardvark™ I2C/SPI Host Adapter, the Beagle™ I2C/SPI Protocol Analyzer, and the Cheetah SPI Host Adapter. It also provides individual leads for each pin.

Features

The 10-Pin Split Cable has a 10-pin box header that attaches to the ribbon cable. Each individual lead has a different color and is labeled with the pin name so that they are easy to identify.

The connector is a standard 5x2 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch IDC type keyed box connector. Each individual lead is terminated with a single pin crimp connector with the same 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch. The cable is only 5" (12.7cm) long to minimize signal degradation.

Individual Leads

Each lead is color coded and has a small label to indicate which lead is associated with which pin. The leads are shown in the following diagram.

Universal Uses

The 10-Pin Split Cable is an incredibly useful tool that will save you from having to create or purchase adapter boards for your 10-pin ribbon cable. Although it is labeled with the Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter, Beagle I2C/SPI Protocol Analyzer and Cheetah SPI Host Adapter specific pinouts, this split cable is universally adaptable for a variety of applications.

This split cable will connect to any standard 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch 10-pin keyed IDC-type connector.

But I wasn't offered that resolution. An absolute project-saver. I have but two gripes. One is that each time one switches modes, the "protocol lens" has to change. The software does it automatically, but reminds the user each time, requiring dismissal of a dialog. Why isn't it silent? The other is a scroll lock button, which when depressed allows the display to scroll. But the button doesn't stay in that position. If one uses the cursor to examine data in the scrolling window, the button unlocks.
These annoyances are minor. I would absolutely purchase another of these analyzers (even if I had to spend my own money!)

Great product if your board does not have 5x2 header, but use individual SPI or I2C bus connection.

The cable that we purchased from you
The 10 pin cable is exactly what we needed for this project. It works well and we would recommend this product to anyone who might need it.
