Total Phase Expands Offering with New Kits and Socket Boards for Programming Serial Flash Memory and EEPROM Chips

Sunnyvale, California - March 8, 2010 - Total Phase is pleased to announce an expansion of its existing line of programming kits and accessories. In order to provide targeted solutions for engineers programming Serial Flash chips and EEPROMs, Total Phase will be adding two new, specialized programming kits: the Flash Programming Kit and the EEPROM Programming Kit. Each kit will contain all the tools necessary to get developers up and running quickly.

Additionally, Total Phase is introducing two new socket boards that have been designed specifically to support industry-standard SPI Serial Flash chips from leading Flash memory vendors.

Targeted Kits for Efficient Programming

"We decided to revamp our programming kit offerings based on customer feedback," notes Derek Fung, senior engineer at Total Phase. "Now engineers can get a complete kit that provides the right tools to get the job done quickly and efficiently."

The Flash Programming Kit, is ideal for developers programming Serial Flash memory with high-speed SPI. The Flash Programming Kit features the fast and powerful Cheetah SPI Host Adapter which can send SPI data at over 40 MHz. The kit also includes complementary accessories and two new socket boards. With an MSRP of $425, the Flash Programming Kit offers SPI speed and functionality, as well as important accessories, for a great value.

The EEPROM Programming Kit is tailored to engineers who require both I2C and SPI support for their EEPROM programming needs. The EEPROM Programming Kit will include the time-tested Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter along with a specialized EEPROM socket board and other accessories. With an MSRP of $310, this kit provides support for two popular programming protocols, as well as important accessories for a discount off their individual prices.

Flash Center Software Makes Programming Easy

Both new programming kits leverage the power of the Flash Center™ Software, a free software package that allows developers to quickly program and verify I2C- and SPI-based EEPROM and Serial Flash chips.

The Flash Center Software is available for Windows and Linux and includes an extensible part library with built-in support for all the major vendors, support for a wide variety of binary formats, and support for parallel gang-programming using multiple host adapters simultaneously.

Availability

The new Programming Kits are available immediately for purchase on the Total Phase website or through our network of international distributors.
