Technical Sales Representative

We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Representative who will be intimately involved with customer contact, strategic planning, and driving revenue growth.  The Technical Sales Representative must be a highly motivated and energetic person who is responsible to grow revenue and profitability within a specified geography. 

This is an entry-level position and new hires will participate in a comprehensive training program to help bring them up to speed as a high-functioning contributor of the sales team.  The training program includes in-depth exposure to both industry and product knowledge as well as coaching on sales systems, processes, and best practices.  This is a great opportunity to develop career-building skills at a profitable and respected company.

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Grow revenue in the assigned territory consistent with the territory plan
  • Develop sales and business relationships within assigned geography to cultivate referrals and recurring revenue
  • Execute demand generation activities for the territory
  • Prompt follow up on quotes and leads within the territory
  • Provide ongoing accurate reporting of any competitive and large deal activity in the territory
  • Conduct customer demonstrations of products both in on-site meetings and virtual web meetings
  • Travel to the geography for training and market presence purposes
 

Other Job Functions

  • Staff inbound ticketing queue on a rotational basis
  • Provide trade show support as needed in all territories
  • Execution of ad hoc projects and/or tasks as assigned by the Sales Manager
  • Active participation in company meetings, staff meetings, and other functions
 

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree from a leading university
  • 1+ prior jobs or internships with references
  • Technology background is a plus
 

English Language Communication Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to effectively articulate Total Phase's mission and philosophy
 

Customer and Personal Service

  • Professionalism, positive attitude, and good rapport with customers
  • A service orientation, actively looking for ways to help others
 

Technical Skills

  • Strong computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Willingness to learn new applications (OTRS, CRM, Tableau, and marketing automation)
  • Proficiency is required after training is provided
  • Intermediate mathematical and analytic skills for performing general calculations related to pricing, trend analysis

Position
