How to Select Which USB Protocol Analyzer to Use to Monitor Output Conditions on the USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 Bus
Rena

Question from the Customer:

We have the Beagle USB 480 Protocol Analyzer  and it’s worked really well for us. We’re starting a new project that requires toggling one of the output-signals when there are specific conditions such as when the packet length=6. For these capabilities, looking at the specifications, it looks like we need to use a more advanced protocol analyzer. We’re not sure, but we may have to test this on both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. We don’t foresee any need for power measurements. Our questions:

  • Can the Beagle 480 analyzer be upgraded?
  • If not, which Beagle should we purchase for these projects? Please help us compare the features.
Response from Technical Support:

Thanks for your questions! The Beagle USB 480 protocol analyzer cannot be upgraded. For your immediate system requirements on the USB 2.0 bus, you can use the Beagle USB 480 Power Protocol Analyzer - Ultimate Edition.
