Flash Memory Programming Basics
frank

This short video shows how you can use the Cheetah SPI Host Adapter with the Flash Center Software to quickly program an SPI Flash memory chip in less than 25 seconds!  The Flash Center software can support virtually any memory part, gang-program devices in parallel, and easily verify the contents on the memory chip.

The Cheetah adapter is a general purpose SPI master that communicates at speeds of up to 40+ MHz. It can be used to interface with SPI peripherals and program SPI-based flash memories and EEPROMs.

The Flash Center software is free and works with both the Cheetah adapter and the Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter. The software has built-in support for most major I2C- and SPI-based memories, allowing users to quickly and easily program their part, in-system or standalone.
