Non-intrusively monitor USB 2.0 and interactively analyze the data as soon as it is captured on the bus. Avoid engineering bottlenecks caused by waiting for captured data to be downloaded and parsed. Developers can repeatedly disconnect and reconnect a device or iteratively exercise it and see the resulting USB traffic immediately, saving time and reducing frustration. There is no need to reset the analyzer, restart a capture, and wait for all the data to be downloaded and parsed again and again.

Fast Data Analysis

Filter and quickly search for data of interest while the capture is still running. Utilize the real-time statistics function of the Data Center Software to view packets and errors on the bus.

Real-Time USB Class-level Decoding with the Data Center Software

USB data is easier to understand with real-time decoding of class-level data. Class-level decoding is automatic – no need to wait for the capture to download and apply decoding. The Data Center Software supports multiple USB classes. For USB classes not included in this list, developers can save USB configurations to apply decoding after the capture.

Match/Action Triggering and Filtering for USB 2.0 Captures

Create flexible state-based event triggers with up to 8 independent states and 6 matches per state for USB 2.0 captures. Match/Action triggering and filtering allows developers to trigger the capture, filter data, or set external triggers by matching data patterns, packet types, error types, and more.

Easy Collaboration

Easily share data with your colleagues around the world using the freely downloadable Data Center Software. Send saved captures to your colleagues, and they can view the data exactly as you see it.

Customizable and Upgradeable

The Beagle USB 5000 v2 analyzer can grow with your needs for USB 3.0. Upgrade options are available to add functionality for USB 3.0 analysis to the Beagle analyzer, including simultaneous USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 capture, triggering capabilities for USB 3.0 captures, and an increased on-board memory buffer. Data Center Software

The Data Center Software is the free software that is included with the Beagle™ USB 5000 v2 Protocol Analyzer. Everyone is welcome to download this software from the Total Phase website to allow for easy collaboration through the sharing of capture data files.

Features include:

Compatibility

The Beagle Protocol Analyzer was engineered from the very beginning to be a cross-platform device. The software and utilities for the Beagle Protocol Analyzer function on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X so that you can develop software for your preferred platform.

Windows

The software is officially supported on Windows XP (SP2 or later, 32-bit and 64-bit), Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit), and Windows 8 (32-bit and 64-bit).

Linux

The software has been designed for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and 5 with kernel 2.6. Customers have reported successful operation with SuSE and Ubuntu distributions. Please be aware that there may be significant differences and idiosyncrasies in the way that different distributions of Linux operate. As such, Total Phase may not be able to support your particular distribution of Linux. Support will be offered on a case-by-case basis.

Mac OS X

The software is supported on Intel versions of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, and 10.8 Mountain Lion.

64-bit Support

The graphical software is offered as a 32-bit or 64-bit application on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

USB 3.0 Capture Upgrade - TP322710

Working with USB 3.0? Upgrade your Beagle USB 5000 v2 analyzer to interactively capture and analyze USB 3.0 data.

Simultaneous Capture Option - TP322810

This feature allows developers to monitor USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 during the same capture. The Beagle analyzer will capture and display data for USB 3.0 and 2.0 in the Data Center Software. The speed of the transaction will be listed in the Data Center transaction pane making it easy to identify whether the data matches the USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 specification.

SuperSpeed Downlink Upgrade - TP322910

Enable longer captures with the Superspeed Downlink upgrade. Working with the real-time display feature, engineers don't have to wait for data to be captured and downloaded before viewing.

USB 3.0 Advanced State-Based Matching Option - TP323010

The advanced Match/Action system provides developers with the ability to create complex, multi-state matches for either USB 3.0 or USB 2.0. When a match occurs, the match unit can have one or more defined actions such as trigger the capture, assert external output, filter out the matching data, or go to another state.

4 GB Memory Option - TP323110

This hardware and software upgrade increases the USB 3.0 memory buffer to 4 GB, allowing developers to capture more USB 3.0 data.

Multi-Analyzer Synchronization Option - TP323210
