This past week, Total Phase exhibited at DesignCon ’23 at the Santa Clara Convention Center - a premier conference for chip, board, and systems design engineers in the high speed communications and semiconductor communities. This marked our long-awaited return to this well-established conference and our first tradeshow since early 2020!
We were greeted by many current happy Total Phase customers along with design engineers from various industries who were looking to broaden their horizons about the current test equipment marketplace.
On display at the Total Phase Booth were live demonstrations of our Promira Serial Platform coupled with the Beagle I2C/SPI Protocol Analyzer showing how they can be used to prototype and debug I2C and SPI systems, as well as the Advanced Cable Tester v2 for testing various USB and video cables.
The Promira platform caught people’s attention given new demands for I2C and SPI systems to operate at higher clock speeds. Meanwhile, many customers are finding a greater need to verify the quality of USB, HDMI, and DisplayPort cables. Because of this, our Advanced Cable Tester v2 definitely piqued people’s interest. This tool allows both cable manufacturers and those incorporating cables within their design the ability to comprehensively test cables against the cable specification.
By all accounts, this year’s event saw a vast increase in both exhibitors and attendees over the previous 2021 and 2022 DesignCon shows. There was a certain vibe and overall feeling that perhaps there is a semblance of normalcy returning to the embedded industry.
At the end of the day, this was a very productive show, and we look forward to getting back on the event circuit where we can educate and engage with our existing and new customers.
