Background

The Beagle I2C/SPI protocol analyzer can be used to monitor MDIO traffic, but not with newer versions of Data Center. MDIO support was dropped from Data Center starting with version 3.00, and it is unlikely that support will be added to future versions of the software.

Current Support

The Beagle I2C/SPI protocol analyzer can monitor clause 22 and clause 45 MDIO using v2.20 of Data Center or any version of the Beagle API.

Data Center v2.20 requires the older version of our USB drivers (v1.00). Please locate and download the installer for your desired OS from the links below.

Mac users will need to have X11 installed to run Data Center.

Also note that all signals should have at least a 3.0V logic high. To monitor a lower voltage MDIO bus, you could use our level shifter board.
