Total Phase Announces New Aardvark OEM Host Adapter

Flash Memory Summit, Santa Clara, CA – Wednesday, August 14, 2013 – Total Phase, a provider of industry-leading USB, I2C, SPI, and CAN embedded systems tools, announced the addition of a new product to their portfolio. The new product is an OEM adapter based on the design of Total Phase’s flagship Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter. Long recognized as an industry standard in I2C or SPI debugging, the Aardvark adapter is a flexible tool for system design and testing. The new Aardvark OEM adapter allows system integrators to create an application-specific Aardvark adapter at even lower costs.

“Our goal is to provide customers with easy-to-bundle tools that allow them to focus on their core competencies by reducing the engineering overhead required to support customers. We hope our semiconductor customers can leverage this new product to provide the best possible out-of-the-box experience for their evaluation kits while significantly reducing engineering support time,” said Gil Ben- Dov, VP & General Manger at Total Phase. “Additionally, the white label nature of this product allows our customers to reinforce their brand, while the new Aardvark OEM product allows for a customized experience at a minimum cost.”

The Aardvark OEM adapter is available in an I2C or SPI configuration designed to minimize costs by tailoring functionality to the customer’s needs. The Total Phase API is included with the Aardvark OEM adapter so our customers can create custom application GUIs. The Aardvark adapter and API are cross platform compatible for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X allowing engineers to work in the operating system of their choice. The API can also be leveraged for automated testing or device programming in a production environment to deploy large quantities of product.
